The ""off"" control position limits the water flow to a light trickle. This feature will remind you that you have left the shower running and also serves to prevent water pressure or temperature buildup in the hose. When you resume your spray, point it away from the body to allow the water to readjust to your original valve setting. Clean only with mild cleaning solutions. Installation instructions on existing 1/2"" shower arm: A. Turn existing shower head counterclockwise and remove. B. Optional: Install diverter valve onto pipe fitting using a rubber washer. The diverter valve will allow you to also use your existing shower head. C. Insert rubber washer in hose fitting, then screw hose fitting to exposed shower supply fitting or diverter valve. A sealant (not included) such as pipe compound or Teflon tape may also be required. Firmly tighten hose fitting by hand. Note: First install vacuum breaker (not included) between hose and supply fitting if required by local code. D. Attach the hose with rubber washer to the shower handle. Firmly tighten hose fitting. E. Mount wall bracket of desired location within functional length of shower hose. Clean and dry wall surface thoroughly. Peel adhesive covering. Apply bracket with two circular openings facing up. Press firmly to adhere. Optional screw and anchors are also included.
