Product Details

Supplement: Diets low in saturated fat and cholesterol that include 7 grams of soluble fiber per day from psyllium husk, as in HYDROCIL INSTANT, may reduce the risk of heart disease by lowering cholesterol. One ADULT dose of HYDROCIL INSTANT has 2.4 grams of this soluble fiber. Laxative: For relief of occasional constipation (irregularity). This product generally produces bowel movement in 12 to 72 hours. Dissolves instantly. No sugar, artificial flavors, colors or sweeteners. Safe for diabetics.

Dosage

Supplement: Adults 12 years and older: 1 rounded TEASPOON in 8 ounces of liquid 3 times daily. Children under 12 years: Consult a doctor. Notice: Take this product with at least 8 ounces (a full glass) of liquid. Taking without enough liquid may cause choking. Do not take if you have difficulty swallowing. Laxative: Put Hydrocil into empty glass; fill with at least 8 fluid ounces of water or juice. Stir briskly. Drink promptly. If mixture thickens, add more liquid and stir. Adults and children 12 years of age and over: up to 8 teaspoonsful daily in divided doses of 1 to 2 teaspoonsful per dose. Children 6 to under 12 years of age: up to 4 teaspoonsful daily in divided doses of 1 teaspoonful per dose. Children under 6 years of age: ask a doctor. NOTE SEPARATE USES. Warning

Do not use: for longer than 1 week unless directed by a doctor; if you have difficulty swallowing. Ask a doctor before using if you have: abdominal pain; nausea; vomiting; a sudden change in bowel habits that persist over a period of 2 weeks. Stop use and ask a doctor if: rectal bleeding occurs; you do not have a bowel movement after use of this product. These symptoms may indicate a serious condition; chest pain, vomiting, or difficulty in swallowing occur. Taking this product without adequate fluid (at least 8 fluid ounces) may cause it to swell and block your throat or esophagus and cause choking. Keep out of reach of children. In case of overdose, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center right away.
