Dosage

Laxative: Take this product (child or adult dose) with at least 8 ounces (a full glass) of water or other fluid. Taking this product without enough liquid may cause choking. See choking warning. Follow dosage below or use as directed by a doctor. Drink a full glass (8 oz.) of water or other liquid with each dose. Continued use for 1 to 3 days is normally required to provide full benefit. Adults and children 12 years and over: 5 capsules one to three times daily. Children under 12 years: Consult a doctor. Fiber Supplement: Adults 12 yrs. and older: 2-6 capsules for increasing daily fiber intake; 6 capsules for cholesterol lowering use. Take product with 8 oz. of liquid (swallow 1 capsule at a time) up to 3 times daily. Notice: Take this product with at least 8 oz. (a full glass) of liquid. Taking without enough liquid may cause choking. Do not take if you have difficulty swallowing.

Laxative: Choking: Taking this product without adequate fluid may cause it to swell and block your throat or esophagus and may cause choking. Do not take this product if you have difficulty in swallowing. If you experience chest pain, vomiting, or difficulty in swallowing or breathing after taking this product, seek immediate medical attention. Ask a doctor before use if you have: stomach pain, nausea, or vomiting; a sudden change in bowel habits that persists over 2 weeks. When using this product: may cause allergic reaction in people sensitive to inhaled or ingested psyllium. Stop use and ask a doctor if: you fail to have a bowel movement or have rectal bleeding. These could be signs of a serious condition; you need to use a laxative for more than 1 week. If pregnant or breast-feeding, ask a health professional before use. Keep out of reach of children.
