Standardized Uva Ursi is a Scientifically advanced herbal extract standardized to 20% arbutin, the constituent which is the primary focus of the herbs therapeutic effects. Uva Ursi has antiseptic, astringent, and diuretic properties which support urinary tract, bladder, liver, and kidney function and health by facilitating the expulsion of toxins from the urinary tract, soothing, strengthening, and tightening irritated and inflamed tissues, reducing bloating, and assisting in the therapy of urinary tract infections such as cystitis, urethritis, and nephritis.

Based on the urinary antiseptic action of the leaves, Uva Ursi was listed in the United States Pharmacopoeia and national Formulary from 1820-1950. Researchers have identified a key constituent in Uva Ursi, Arbutin, which is the primary focus for its therapeutic effects. Nature's Way Standardized Uva Ursi extract provides a high potency (20% Arbutin) extract synergistically blended with the whole herb.
