Women's Liberty Tea promotes healthy hormone balance because it contains blood tonic herbs traditionally used to nourish and harmonize the blood and regulate the menses. The ingredients dong-quai root, licorice root and wild yam root contain phytosterols which support the production and regulation of hormones and have an adaptogenic effect on the female cycle. Chinese angelica root, or dong-quai, is the most important female herb in the Chinese materia medica. Licorice root contains estrogenic isoflavones and is a harmonizing ingredient. Ginger and cinnamon are added to warm the blood, increase circulation and absorption, and are known to promote prostaglandin balance, an important aspect of hormone regulation.

Ingredients

Licorice root, orange peel, wild yam root and rhizome, ginger rhizome, cinnamon bark, dong-quai root, clove stem, cured fo-ti root tuber, European angelica root.

Dosage

Pour 8 oz. of boiling water over one tea bag and steep, covered, for 3-5 minutes. Squeeze tea bag over cup to yield remaining extractive. Water temperature and the length of steeping time greatly influence the yield of beneficial components extracted from the herbs. Drink 3 or more cups daily. Add a slice of lemon or orange if desired.
