Through its 600-year history, Friars Balsam has been known by such names as Balsamum Traumaticum, Balsamic Tincture, Jesuits drops, Jerusalem drops, and wound, Swedish, Turlingtons, Persian. Wades St. Victors, and Commanders Balsam. In order to ensure that we always sell the freshest product possible, Herb Pharm's has made it a policy to make sure that nothing sits on the shelf too long, so the 8oz sizes and larger get poured only when there is a request for them. This would mean that an order for a special pour on 8oz and larger will take an additional 2 days to get processed

Warning

Occasionally skin irritation may result from topical use avoid use on individuals with allergic skin diseases. If irritation does appear, discontinue use and the it will soon subside. When applied to broken skin, undiluted extract may tend to sting. To avoid this, balsam can be diluted with a 50/50 mixture of water & glycerin. Discontinue use if irritation persists. Some of the maladies listed above can be serious health threats if not treated properly by a qualified healthcare practitioner.
