Friendly” microflora support colon health by altering the microflora ecology to favor “friendly” flora. Beneficial bacteria in our gut perform many important functions, such as modifying bile acids, cholesterol and hormones, and metabolizing and synthesizing vitamins (including vitamins K and B-12, and biotin).At the time of encapsulation, each 300 mg capsule contains at least 3 billion viable cells of freeze-dried bifidus (Bifidobacterium longum and Bifidobacterium bifidum), DDS-1 acidophilus, Streptococcus faecium and Lactobacillus casei “friendly” flora.
