Natural Factors SAMe (S-Adenosyl methionine derived from 400mg of SAMe Toslyate) is found in the body and is required for cellular growth and repair. It is also involved in the biosynthesis of several hormones and neurotransmitters that affect mood, such as dopamine and serotonin. Clinical research shows that SAMe supplements support these hormonal functions and also support maintenance of cartilage health and contributes to the production of joint supporting compounds such as Glucosamine and Chondroitin.* SAMe also works actively with Folic Acid and Vitamin B12 to protect the body from harmfull levels of homocysteine, and in the presence of vitamin B6, vitamin B12, and folic acid (SAM-e's main co-factors) homocysteine will eventually be converted back into methionine, SAM-e, or cysteine, glutathione, and other useful substances. Natural Factors SAMe is naturally enteric coated for ease of swallowing and maximum bioavailability, which also enhances SAMeGÇÖs stability.
