Fungoid. In 1925, Pedinol introduced Fungoid Tincture as a remedy for antifungal infections such as athlete's foot, ringworm, foot fungus and jock itch. Doctors took special notice of this easy-to-apply formula and began to recommend its use to their patients suffering from fungal infections. Initially, Fungoid Tincture was available by prescription only, but in 1995 the FDA moved it to over-the-counter status and now it is one of the most recommended over-the-counter, antifungal medicines by podiatrists and pharmacists. In 1983, Fungoid Tincture received the American Podiatric Medical Association's Seal of Approval.
