TMG 500 contain Trimethylglycine (TMG) extracted from sugar beets , TMG, is also called anhydrous betaine,. TMG is a highly effective donor of methyl groups. methyl donors, and is a powerful reducer of homocysteine to logically safe methione. . Homocysteine is a toxic transient metabolite of methionine and is significant heart risk factor. Homocysteine can be reduced by (1) remethylation from an enzyme that utilizes TMg (Betaine Homocyteine Methionine Transferase)(2) remethlation to biologically safe menthionine by an enzyme that utilizes Folic acid, B12 (3) transsulfuration to cystalathionone.. . Methylation is inhibited by inadequately functioning key enzymes, excessive protein and fat intake, poor diet, inadequate intake of methyl groups , coffee, alcohol or by smoking.. .

Dosage
