Ingredients

Pau d'Arco Glycerite is prepared from the dried inner bark of purple-flowered Tabebuia impetiginosa trees. Dry herb/ menstruum ratio: 1:4, Vegetable glycerine (50-55%), distilled water & Pau d'Arco extractives. Vegetable glycerine, distilled water & Pau d'Arco extractives. CONTAINS NO ALCOHOL.

Dosage

Shake well before using. Two to five times per day take 30 to 40 drops in a little water.

Native peoples in Central and South America use pau d’arco bark to treat cancer, lupus, infectious diseases, wounds, and many other health conditions. Caribbean folk healers use the leaf of this tree in addition to the bark for the treatment of backache, toothache, and sexually transmitted diseases. Lapachol and beta-lapachone (known collectively as naphthaquinones) are two primary active compounds in pau d’arco. Both have anti-fungal properties as potent as ketoconazole, a common antifungal drug.
