| Generally, the fruit and fruit juice from Graviola are taken for worms, parasites, to cool fevers, as a lactagogue (to increase mother's milk after childbirth) as an astringent for diarrhea and dysentery. The crushed Graviola seeds are used as a vermifuge and anthelmintic against internal and external parasites, head lice and worms. The bark, leaves and roots are considered sedative, antispasmodic, hypotensive, nervine and a tea is made for various disorders toward those effects. Graviola Capsules are a group of Annonaceous Acetogenins which are only found in the Annonaceae family to which Graviola belongs. |
