In 1952 the worldwide distribution of Dulcolax began, marking a new era in the therapy of constipation and a new generation of gentle, yet effective laxatives was born. It was developed to be used in small doses without any major side effects: It does not cause diarrhoea or allow important minerals (electrolytes) to be washed out, when used according to instructions.
