    Blueberry Smoothie

    Smoothies are the ideal meal replacement for people on the go. A healthy alternative to junk or fast food, they can be whipped up in a flash once you stock up on the ingredients. They are versatile enough to suit most diets including vegan; and can be prepared the night before. Most smoothies can be tailored to include superfoods and other essential supplements; ensuring that you derive maximum benefit for your health needs. They render certain supplements more palatable and are also easier on the digestive system when combined with other less acidic ingredients.

    Best of all , they are easy to carry around and can be consumed at your desk or while travelling.

    Here is a quick recipe for a smoothie that combines weight-loss ingredients with superfoods to give you energy.

    • 3 Tablespoons Blueberries or mixed berries (fresh or frozed)
    • 2 Tablespoons Apple Cider Vinegar
    • ½ cup almond milk (or milk of choice)
    • 2 Tablespoons Maca Powder
    • 1 tsp Matcha Green Tea Powder
    • 2 cups cold Mint Tea
    • 1/2 cup Greek Yoghurt (optional)

    Method

    Combine all the above ingredients in blender and pulse on high speed for 5 minutes. Drink immediately or refrigerate for the next morning

    Note:

    The Matcha and Maca powders render this drink unsuitable for the evening as it may inhibit sleep.
