I actually started using this as lubricant at the recommendation of my ob/gyn, but this stuff is great for lots of uses. I have really dry skin around my hairline and a tiny dab just after showering does more than any thick moisturizer has. Put it in a pretty glass bottle with the money you'll probably save. Sorry to sound like an infomercial but I find new uses for this all the time, this stuff is incredible, all natural collection of oils and vitamin E are soothing and do not upset my sensitive skin. Works wonders from head to toe, teensy bit to calm flyaway, after shower moisturizer while skin is still wet, eye makeup remover, under eye moisture, eyelash/brow conditioner, cuticle repair, callous softener, massage oil.
OK, maybe I'm genetically blessed with good skin, it's possible, but I can honestly say that I've used this product for 20 years and almost feel like I can't live without it. After the morning shower, I've always covered my body with it from the neck down. I rub whatever's left on my hands around my eyes, trying to keep those crow's feet at bay. You can't dress immediately afterwards because it is very oily and needs to soak into the skin for a bit, but not too long. I'm 40 now & no one ever guesses my age, I still get carded. I'm a firm believer in the usefulness of this product, and it's great for massage.
A little wonderful secret product! I use this on occasion in my hair, massaging a small amount thru my hair before bed, and then washing in the morning. The woman who cuts my hair has asked me how I keep my hair in such good condition. There are times that dry my hair, such as being in the sun, very dry air from a wood stove, and after one application of this product (small pea-size amount) and the hair that was getting brittle is then soft and manageable. It's one of those products you know you'll always use. I love this stuff, it makes your skin feel so nice and smells awesome. I would recommend putting on right after drying off after the shower or bath and then giving it a few minutes to absorb into your skin.
I recently tried the Almond Glow Lotion, and it was a happy discovery. The oils are either botanic or the tried and true lanolin which is a naturally occurring oil from sheep's wool (shorn from a living animal, no sheep dies to provide you with lanolin). Although it's called a massage oil, it's really an excellent all-purpose body oil. At 56 I use it as a facial oil, bath oil, as well as body oil. The rose scent is lovely without being cloying or heavy. I would caution anyone with peanut allergies. One of the botanic oils used is peanut oil. For the non-allergic this product can take the place of several that may be cluttering up your shelves.
