Wheat Germ Oil capsules consist of 73% wheat germ oil, an excellent source of the Vitamin E (alpha-tocopherol) complex and 27% flaxseed oil concentrate, a rich source of valuable, essential, unsaturated fatty acids: linoleic and linolenic – Omega-6 and Omega-3. The wheat germ oil is extracted by the “flash-heat, cold-pressed method” to first soften the germ so the cold roll can extract it. Light, oxygen and high temperatures destroy fatty acids very rapidly. Therefore, both the wheat germ oil and flaxseed oil are pressed at a low temperature in the absence of light and oxygen. Vitamin E functions as an antioxidant which helps stabilize cell membranes and protects cells and tissues important for muscles, eyes, liver, skin and nerves. It also helps protect red blood cells from cell damage.
