The Meshima mushroom (Phellinus Linteus) grows on mulberry trees indigenous to a Japanese island bearing the same name, which literally means "Women's Island." Research demonstrates that Meshima may increase the activity of B cells and T lymphocytes as well as increase cytotoxic activity of NK cells.* In a comparative study conducted in Japan, an extract from Meshima demonstrated strongest activity among 17 medicinal mushrooms.
