This is natural wool flannel to be used for a Castor Oil Pack recommended by the Edgar Cayce Readings. It is absorbent and holds the necessary amount of oil. Have not washed it, therefore cannot comment on that. Overall an excellent product. By the way, you do not have to wash it after each application

The wool flannel was as described and the castor oil soaks in very well. I put mine in a glass jar in the fridge. I just don't like using plastic bags or containers.
