Like other reviewers mention, these colors are a bit darker than expected. And they do have some not-so-natural ingredients, but less so than other products. Still, I like the color and I find it to work better on my few grey hairs than the Clairol Natural Instincts that I had been using, which never seemed to work on those particular hairs. Which is the whole point in the first place, right? This product colors all my hair evenly with a more natural-looking hue and it seems to last a long time. Package was a little slushed and had leaked dye all over it, otherwise I loved it and will order more.

I'm still in utter shock at how good this was for me! I got it because I'm pregnant and wanted to avoid the harsh chemicals. I've tried the store brand kind without ammonia and they don't cover my gray at all. I've tried to kind in the Salon without the ammonia, and it lasted about 2 weeks tops. This has been 6 weeks and I am just not starting to see the shine fading. This dye was truly as good as getting a toxic filled one at the salon. I will be a customer for life! I love this product! Have battled with sensitive skin/scalp and eczema for years. Herbatint did not bother my scalp at all. Beautiful color too.

I have been using this for maybe since 2005 I guess. But regardless, I like it very much, it works for my hair. Which is graying roots since about 2001 and it covers mine okay and sometimes I buy the little tiny package at Sally's Beauty Supply called "Gray Magic". it's about $1.00 and I mix it in with the color and it seems to make covering gray even better but with or without the adding of that stuff. I like this product very much! I've tried Aveda Salon and many different Salon Hair colorings, which are good, but I get the same results if not better just doing at home with Herbatint. Ingredients are important and I like these they suit my lifestyle which is health awareness.

I admit I was nervous after reading some reviews about how dark it would be but, I combined the 5R, 5M, and 8N and got the perfect color. Close to my natural light auburn brown I guess would be the color. Covered gray well however, I have to admit I was so nervous I rinsed it out a little early and should have left it on the full amount of time - next time I will. I have shoulder length hair and have enough for another color in several months when needed. Very light smell and did not dry out my dry hair. I used the conditioner that came with it as instructed and had more than enough.
