Consult your healthcare provider about the use of herbs when nursing a baby or if milk production continues to be low. Not for use during pregnancy. May cause maple syrup odor in urine. Large amounts may lower blood sugar.
Please note that many of these herbs also have an emmenagogue effect - they stimulate menstruation - therefore are not recommended during pregnancy in greater than culinary amounts.
